As the saying goes, “If you don’t have your health, what do you have?” But what does it mean to be healthy? Is living a healthy life really about counting calories, beating ourselves up in the gym, or constantly looking at our bodies through the critic’s eyes?
The human body is more than a machine that needs to fixed, toned up, or worked into submission. As a vital part of our well being, the body is our medium by which we experience the sensations of life. Taking the time to thank our bodies and view them in more integrated ways is the first step to feeling alive, connected, and comfortable in our own skin.
“Thank Your Body” is a place to discuss, explore, and discover fundamental truths about this living body. The goal is to reconnect inward and refine our ability to listen to what our own body needs so that we may find joy, vitality, and real health.
