Hope y'all are doing great! Just wanted to give a heads up: I'm working on some changes for this site. Like major redesign and refocused changes. I'm stoked. You should be, too. I'm hoping to have the new site up by March 1st. The site might be temporarily down for a day or two as I make the change over. PLEASE COME BACK!
I'm saying goodbye to blogger and "hello" to some new articles. I will definitely still be posting thoughts on body connectivity, somatics, health, fitness, etc. But I am also adding more emphasis on real food, toxic-free living, and all sorts of other good things to "thank your body."
You can still find all the awesomeness at www.thankyourbody.com. I've transferred over a few of my favorite posts, and I will probably let this site go to a .blogspot url as an archive for past articles.
Stay tuned!

It's been a while....
Hello campers! I'm back. Of course it's been so long since I was last here that there is a good chance nobody is left to witness my return. But that's okay.
It's been a fun, crazy, boring, busy few months. I am constantly amazed at how much time this whole "mom" thing takes and yet when my husband asks me what I did all day I just sort of stare off into space. "I dunno know. uh.... cooked. .... um.... cleaned.... played with the girl.... you know, the usual." Despite it all I wouldn't trade this mom gig for the world. So I'm sorry that I'm a little MIA (although I'm really not that sorry), and I can't promise I will be much better in the future, but I'm here right now.
Mostly I just wanted to say "hi." (HI!) And leave you with some bullet-list magic of some of the thoughts swimming through my head lately (well, at least the thoughts that seem relevant for this blog):

- I have continued to read A LOT of nutrition books. I am really passionate about real food. I'm also amazed at how easily people seem confused by it. The past two years have been such a gradual but huge change for my family as we've let go of processed food almost entirely (at least in our house. We try not to freak out when visiting family, friends, or the occasionally eating out).
- This means I spend a lot of time in the kitchen (A LOT) because real food takes time. But it's so worth it. Despite sleepless nights I have more energy, better skin, better digestion, and have never felt so good about my body before. It's 90% diet, people. I still try to be active, but I'm not worried about burning (or counting) calories. Back to basics. It's wonderful.
- While I can't say I'm doing yoga the way I was before the baby, I am still trying to keep it in my daily life. I'm sticking with the "little and often" mentality and it helps. Some days (most days) I just can't find the time for a good hour of yoga. So I have to take my 10 minutes in the morning, 5 minutes in the afternoon, and 30 minutes before bed. And you know what? It works.
- This girl. Oh how I love her. She is growing so fast. She is independent, fierce, and full of passion. This week she started walking. I'm soaking it all in. So please excuse me if I don't come back for a while.

How's it going/What I've been up to...
Hello! I feel like it's been a long time since I've dedicated some time to this blog. Despite that the "100 ways" challenge has been going on for the past few months, I've been working on some other things while the awesomeness of scheduled posting took over for while.
So first things first: How did the challenge go? Were there any committed folks who tried most or all of them? I'd love to hear any feedback. If you are new here, you can still participate in the challenges by checking out the posts. Simply click on the "100 Ways to Thank Your Body" button to the right.
In the meantime, here are some of the things I've been up to since the challenge began:

In the meantime, here are some of the things I've been up to since the challenge began:
- Publishing and then redesigning the website Movement Has Meaning. Check it out! We have some great bloggers who have joined in the fun. We also have a growing GLOBAL database of LMA certified practitioners.
- I've also been writing for the site Pure Natural Mom. It's been fun to put on my "mom" hat and write.
- I've also been fortunate enough to teach twice a week at BYU... giving me some "me" time doing what I love while still being able to be a mostly stay-at-home mom. Best part is my husband is home while I teach so Little C is getting some great daddy-daughter time.
- And mostly I spend my days with this little girl. I'm amazed at how quickly she is growing up. It's been wonderful watching her develop and seeing her unique (and determined) little personality shine.
What have you been up to?
